For juniors starting out in the game the public Golf Courses of Hoebridge and Silvermere provide excellent driving ranges and good individual and group tuition. Hoebridge Golf Centre also has an excellent 18 hole Par 3 course (The Maybury) and a 9 hole intermediate course (The Shey Copse) which allows yound golfers to progress through to a full length course. Silvermere also has one of the largest golf shops in the area with a good junior section. There are also good 9 hole courses at Top Golf and Goal Farm within easy reach. Top Golf also has a good driving range, shop and target golf facility Once juniors are able to progress to a main course Sutton Green Golf Club welcomes young juniors (from aged 9 if good enough) and has a very active junior section with twice monthly competitions for juniors. Chobham Golf Club, West Hill Golf Club, West Byfleet Golf Club and Worpleston Golf Club all actively encorage junior members, usually from aged 11 upwards. Foxhills Golf Club has recently reintroduced its Junior Foundation Programme for talented young golfers, which had been discontinued after great success in the early1990s - developing Paul Casey and Antony Wall as well as a number of other pro golfers.
